ABC Budget Service Inc. is a full service, not for profit budget counseling service, which has been in business over 35 years. ABC serves people throughout the entire State of Wisconsin, who are having financial difficulties, or those who are just looking for a reliable bill paying service.

ABC Budget Service Inc. does not give loans, and this is not a bankruptcy or any court ordered payment plan. It is a voluntary bill-paying program designed to get your bills paid on time and pay off your debts as quickly as possible.

ABC Budget is regulated and licensed by the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions and is bonded to the State of Wisconsin. ABC enjoys a good reputation and cooperation with creditors nationwide, which allows us to make arrangements for repayment  that will benefit our clients. Some creditors will stop or reduce interest and late charges for our clients. Many people find that they have more money left over at the end of the month when ABC Budget is helping them with their bills. There is NO CHARGE for the initial budget calculation. Our monthly fee for the services is set by the State of Wisconsin and is based on the amount paid towards your bills every month.

HOW IT WORKS
Once you tell us who you owe, how much you owe, and what your take home pay is, we will develop a household budget that will fit into your income, which would provide enough for you to live on, and enough to pay all of your bills. If necessary, we contact the creditors and set up special payment arrangements that you can afford. Then every payday, after you keep the money that you need for your personal expenses, ABC will use the balance of each paycheck  to pay all of your bills every month as the money comes in from you. Unlike some other companies, we develop an entire household budget so that your debt gets paid off as quickly as possible and your monthly bills are brought up to date and paid on time, so that your credit report will show timely payments. We pay bills as they are due, not at the end of each month, like some other companies. A detailed, easy to read report is available at any time that shows all of the activity on your account.

Once we perform your free budget calculation, we can tell you how much it would take to pay your bills every month, and exactly what your monthly fee would be. The fee is built into the budget so it is not an additional bill to pay. We must set up a budget so you have enough to live on, and we have enough to pay all of the bills.

HOW DOES ABC GET THE FUNDS TO PAY MY BILLS?
There are several ways to make the payments to ABC. If it is convenient, you can bring your paycheck to our office in Brookfield and we will cash your check and give you the change. Your other options would be to have your employer direct deposit into the ABC account (we will provide you with the forms), or mail a cashier's check, or money order, or go to any M&I Bank with your paycheck, money order, cashier's check, or cash and make the deposit directly into the ABC account using deposit slips that we will provide. If you make the deposit yourself at an M&I Bank, you must call us and report the deposit so that we can verify it with the bank. Your counselor will help you decide which method will work best for you.
